The Bulkley Valley Witset Primary Care Network (PCN) hosted their official opening on July 20th & 21st, 2023 with a Celebration & Tour.
The official grand opening included a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony, clinic tours, and a commemorative cake to launch the official opening of the new Primary Care Network. The event highlighted the Smithers Primary Care Clinic, the Witset First Nation Health Centre, and the Houston Health Centre.

The Bulkley Valley Witset Primary Care Network will provide team-based care from Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Allied Health Professionals that plan to include a Psychologist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Dietitian, Kinesiologist, Perinatal Nurse, Midwife, Chronic Disease Management Nurse, an Indigenous Navigator, and Pharmacist.

The Bulkley Valley Witset Primary Care Network (PCN) is a collaborative partnership, with years of planning, between Witset Health Centre, Northern Health, the Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice, First Nations Health Authority, the Doctors of BC, and the Ministry of Health who are members of the local Primary Care Network Steering Committee.
