Healthcare Homes is an initiative to connect Healthcare Providers and other medical professionals with reasonably priced, short-term temporary housing in one of our Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice communities (Dease Lake, Haida Gwaii (Daajing Giids and Masset), Houston, Kitimat, Gitlaxt’aamiks, Prince Rupert, Smithers, Stewart, and Terrace).
Healthcare Homes is a service dedicated to supporting temporary locum physicians, healthcare workers & other medical professionals in their search for a clean, furnished, safe, and welcoming home. A place to hang their hats (or stethoscope) and to call home for the time they will be working in the community. A home away from home!
This could mean an entire furnished home, an apartment, condo, cottage, or suite, an Airbnb, an RV with a view (glamping of course), even a room in a home with shared space, or Room & Board. The important thing is that it provides an easy transition, convenience, and comfort for healthcare professionals that are so integral to our Pacific Northwest communities and to our society.
