The Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice Locum Network helps connect GP locums with matches in our region. PNW physicians can post upcoming locum tenens opportunities; and locum physicians can browse opportunities in our area, as well as provide their availability and PNW community requests.
Physicians Looking for Locum Coverage
Member physicians looking for locum coverage are asked to complete the LOCUM REQUEST SURVEY.
Please try to request early as many GP locums are booked 6-12 months in advance.
Locums Looking for Placement
Physicians interested in locum work in the beautiful Pacific Northwest are asked to complete our LOCUM OPPORTUNITIES FORM to provide us with the appropriate information.

FUNDING
Interim Locum Travel & Accommodation Support Grant
UPDATE March 31, 2026
At this time, the Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice is awaiting confirmation of funding for the upcoming fiscal year. As a result, we are currently unable to offer the Interim Locum Travel & Accommodation Support Grant for communities not covered under the Rural Family Practice Locum Program (RFPLP), including Prince Rupert, Smithers, and Terrace.
We understand the importance of this support and will share updates as soon as funding decisions are confirmed. In the meantime, if you have questions or would like to discuss potential locum opportunities in the region, please contact tkutenics@pnwdivisionbc.ca.
