The Pacific Northwest Spirit Awards honor and celebrate an individual or group that are outstanding examples of people who bring the spirit of the Pacific Northwest to their work to promote health and wellness in our communities. These awards recognize the dedication, passion, talent, and tireless effort of those working to provide significant contributions to meaningful healthcare initiatives in the north. Nominations for these awards may be through Physicians or the public. Nominations are reviewed and approved by the Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice Governance Committee.
The Pacific Northwest Spirit Award is modelled after the rare and elusive Spirit Bear, BC’s official animal. The Spirit Bear represents healing, strength, peace, and harmony.
Nominations are accepted online HERE and may be made by a health professional, community member, or organization. Successful recipients will be acknowledged at a dedicated awards ceremony at the Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice Annual General Meeting, will receive a signature Pacific Northwest Spirit Award and be recognized in local media communications.
