IDC Brown Bag Lunch: The Brown Bag Lunch series is a joint initiative between Northern Health and UNBC to promote health research in the North. Brown Bag Lunch is a series of free lunchtime seminars taking place the fourth Thursday of every month and features a variety of health research topics and presenters. The presentations are held at the University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) and available remotely via WebEx. Each luncheon is scheduled for 45 minutes. Registration is not required. RTVS Support: Real-Time Virtual Support is being used to help physicians and other providers train in Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS). The goal is to provide an opportunity for rural physicians, midwives, nurse practitioners, physician residents, students and other health care providers who have access to ultrasound to call in and get help with their ultrasound skills, usually around a specific exam. The opportunity is led by Dr. Virginia Robinson and takes places every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. Pacific and no registration is required.
