Through the leadership of Dr. Adrienne Dufour, the Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice received a grant through the Shared Care BC Committee to develop a Palliative Care Network in the region.
The Pacific Northwest Palliative Care Network’s Steering Committee is comprised of a partnership with Family Physicians and Specialists, Northern Health Authority, Indigenous Health Directors, Patient Partners, Practice Support Coaches and Allied Health Care Providers.
The PNW Palliative Care Network is looking to increase local access to palliative care supports though the development of a local palliative pain and symptom management program. The project is currently underway with the Steering Committee finalizing the vision of the project through Appreciate Inquiry sessions.
