Pacific Northwest Chronic Pain Network – A Shared Care Initiative

Through the leadership of Dr. Adrienne Dufour, the Shared Care BC Committee has granted the Pacific Northwest Division of Family Practice a grant to develop a Chronic Pain Network in the region.

With the leadership of Family Physicians and Specialists, Northern Health Authority, Indigenous Health Directors, Patient Partners, Practice Support Coaches and Allied Health Care Providers, the Pacific Northwest Chronic Pain Network is looking at improving pain services across the northwest. The goal of the project is to develop a care pathway for chronic pain patients and to develop interdisciplinary programming to support patients living with chronic pain.

The Steering Committee is working with multiple community partners, including Pain BC, to collaborate in improving chronic pain services in the region. The Steering Committee is currently finalizing the vision of the project, led through Appreciative Inquiry sessions.
